I have worked in the security industry for over twenty-five years plus. Starting out in 1995 as a salesperson in Christchurch, I then established my own security firm which I sold in 2006 so that I could build the HSM group in my home region of Hawkes Bay. During that time, we have expanded the services offered, from security installations, monitoring and security officer protection to fire protection and compliance (building warrant of fitness) and have seen the group grow from two employees to over 90. I am passionate about protecting people and keeping their homes, businesses, and investments secure and my focus is on ensuring an outstanding customer experience.

I feel it is important to contribute to the development and future of the security industry and have been able to do this through my role on the board of the NZ Security Association. As part of this role, I am on the committee for the development of the Australian and New Zealand Standards for numerous security applications.
